Our impact

Every family has a story. Every story deserves a road.

We're just getting started — and the families waiting remind us every day why this work matters.

What we're building toward

Wandering with Willow exists to close the gap between the life a family has and the life they deserve. For families living with Rett syndrome, an accessible van isn't a luxury — it's the difference between staying home and going to school, to the doctor, to the ocean.

We have families waiting. We have a community ready to help. And we have a little girl named Willow who reminds us every single day that the open road belongs to everyone.

Families waiting

9 families. 9 vans. 9 reasons to give.

These are real families — parents, caregivers, and children with Rett syndrome — who have applied and are waiting for a van that will change their world.

Every Crown Fits

A day where every child is royalty.

Every Crown Fits is our signature annual event — a sensory-friendly makeover and carnival designed specifically for children with special needs and their families. Think glitter, gentle music, face painting, and a carnival midway built around accessibility and joy.

For so many of these families, a typical carnival or makeover experience is overwhelming, inaccessible, or simply not designed with their child in mind. Every Crown Fits changes that. Every station is sensory-aware. Every volunteer is trained. Parents can exhale. Kids can just be kids — and every single one leaves feeling like exactly what they are: royalty.

Wandering with Willow

In honor of our daughter Willow, we give families affected by Rett syndrome the freedom to wander — one van at a time.

A note about Willow

Rett syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that affects nearly 1 in every 10,000 girls and very rarely in boys.  Willow's diagnosis changed our world — and showed us how much a simple van ride can mean to a family that rarely gets to go anywhere together.
