Wandering with Willow
Every family deserves to wander.
Wandering with Willow donates accessible vans to families living with Rett syndrome — because the open road belongs to everyone.
Established in 2025
Why we exist
A diagnosis changed everything. A van changed it back.
When our daughter Willow was diagnosed with Rett syndrome, we learned quickly how much of the world becomes inaccessible. Simple things — a trip to the park, a weekend away, a drive to see the ocean — suddenly required equipment and space most families don't have.
We started Wandering with Willow because we believe every child deserves to see the world from a window seat. We raise funds to purchase and donate accessible vans to families affected by Rett syndrome — and we host Every Crown Fits, a sensory-friendly makeover and carnival on the Gulf Coast that opens its doors to all special needs families, giving every child a day built just for them.
How it works
From application to open road
Families apply
Families affected by Rett syndrome submit a simple application sharing their story and mobility needs.
We fundraise together
Our community rallies around each family — through events, online giving, and corporate partners.
We deliver the keys
We purchase and deliver an accessible van, fully equipped, directly to the family. No strings attached.
"Having a van would significantly improve the quality of life that she experiences by allowing her to get out in the community"
